K. Lashaun is an adult contemporary author born and raised in the great state of Alabama. Her start in writing followed the typical blueprint for most authors - consuming an insane amount of books at an early age before turning that love of reading into a knack for story telling.

 

Her actual writing "career" began by penning several short stories on fan fiction storyboards that starred her teenage crushes: Trey Songz, B2K, Bow Wow, Chris Brown, B5, etc. She would rush home from school and spend her homework time honing her craft and keeping up with the demand of teenage girls and pre-teens. 

Her focus as a writer is to construct imperfect love stories one word at time. Her goal is to display the journey that her flawed, imperfect characters take to find their happily ever after.  It won't always be pretty. It might not go the way you think it should. But in the end, you'll thank her for it.

Whenever she’s not reading or writing, she spends time with her daughter, watches sports and plans vacations that she never takes.

 

She enjoys crafting imperfect - unapologetically black - love stories.

 

To date, K. Lashaun has written twelve novels with many more to come.
